In a lonely and abandoned place in a middle of nowhere, there were two brothers : one named Cassim, the other Ali baba. They live and work together managing an old gas station, but the passing cars rarely stop - so when evening comes, the two brothers entertain themselves by watching a famous western TV show. When they fall asleep, they dream all night long of cowboys. Cassim and Ali Baba live a life that is both strange and fantastic, yet peaceful and quite. Peaceful and quite, that is, until the day Ali Baba spies a squadron of men approaching on horseback in a cloud of dust. The well-equipped and heavily-armed riders -Ali Baba counts forty of them- appear to be rubbers. When their captain approaches a nearby rock and shouts "Open, Sesame!", the adventure is just beginning. |

Learn more:
La Cordonnerie's objective is to promote cultural and artistic learning through the development of new forms of theater and cinema. La Cordonnerie was founded in 1996 from a desire to both create for and meet with the audience. The members of the company write and direct "performed films" - musicians, actors and a sound effects man create a sound track that complements a silent film projected onstage. Music and sound effects - which are different for each film - are performed entirely live onstage. Performances can be followed by a post-event discussion with the artists. La Cordonnerie presents original, fun, and poetic films fused with a live performance full of surprises and emotion. Each show is a priceless moment.
