Do you remember the old fairy tale about a girl who could spin straw into gold? It's Rumplestiltskin, of course! Freider Paasche and Anke Kuepper are coming all the way from Germany to perform this story for the children of Washington - and they're bringing their puppets, too!

Learn more:
Spin straw into gold - is that even possible? The miller's beautiful daughter certainly doesn't think so. Yet, after her father boasts to the king that she can indeed perform this amazing feat, she becomes trapped in her father's lie. In the midst of her despair, help suddenly appears in the guise of a very strange little man. He offers his services - but not without demanding something in return.
Based on the well-known fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, this puppet theater production by the Figurentheater Vagantei Erhardt features historical Bohemian marionettes that will appeal to both children and adults alike.
