Cri- Cri is a bilingual musical program based on the unforgettable songs and popular characters of Mexican composer Francisco Gabilondo Soler, who won the hearts of radio listeners worldwide during the 1940s and 50s. In 2007, GALA and the Cultural Institute of Mexico join together on October 6 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of this internationally acclaimed composer with a special performance and reception.
Cri-Cri features Puerto-Rican born mezzo-soprano Anamer Castrello and Washington's beloved pianist Mari Paz. Gary Sosias accompanies these talented artists on percussion.
