Many years ago in a land called Germany, two brothers named Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm decided to write down all the wonderful stories they had heard. They named this book “Grimm’s Fairy Tales.” The Brothers Grimm included stories about Snow White and other characters such as Hansel and Gretel, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Rumpelstiltskin, Little Red Riding Hood, and the Frog King.

The fantastic world of these fairy tales is still alive in Germany today. There are turreted castles, charming cottages and majestic forests. And some of them are hundreds or even over a thousand years old.

There s a route in Germany called the Fairy Tale Road. It will lead you to places that seemed to have jumped straight from the pages of a storybook! You can take a virtual tour of the Fairy Tale Road on our map. You will see the landscapes and buildings in Germany that inspired not only the Brothers Grimm but also Walt Disney.
